We're saddened by the news Olivia de Havilland, famous for her portrayal as Melanie Wilkes in "Gone with the Wind", has passed away at 104 years of age. Ms. de Havilland was cousin to #aviation pioneer Sir Geoffrey de Havilland & inspiration for her namesake #DHC2T "C-GODH".

Our #aviation services has 5 DHC-2T Turbo Beaver #aircraft. With skis, floats or wheels, they seasonally carry external loads, such as canoes or boats, to remote locations. When equipped with radio telemetry antenna, they track collars on wildlife including moose and wolves.

#TBT: ~15 years ago, AMEs & Sheet Metal mechanics in our MRO took #DHC2 "Eager Beaver" & converted her to #DHC2T #Turbo #Beaver C-FBVR. She got new #PT6A engine, stretched cabin, new tail, new avionics, new leather interior, Alaska Door modification & new Wipline amphib floats!
