Has anyone who's using LTO for #dltp storage, archived a copy of the drive's service manual? 😇 https://t.co/cvlW2w98t2 Could we actually build up a community of service-engineers who could maintain a gen-x drive for unlimited time? Where to get spare parts (heads) for LTO?

Checked the MD5: found a mismatch; assumed copy-over-network-error. Downloaded the ISO image again. Used vbindiff to compare (curious). To find out: I've just downloaded a newer version, and that was the first #hashcode I used as reference. #DLTP #DigiPres #Fixity

I imagine that the separation of #BigData and #DLTP in #GLAM may directly be related to costs of IT equipment/resources: Their tech is from 2006: Nowaday hardware has become "very affordable super-computing". key=value=Object=#LEGOIT.

I just found a super-fast "ffmpeg -c copy" GUI solution: https://t.co/1hm3vKYXQ5 This is a plugin-script for @Mpvplayercom 🥳 Usage: 3 keys = in/out/metadata. Tried with GOP=1 FFV1 files: works! 🤯🤯😎 Just a copy. No re-encoding. #DigitalPreservation #DLTP thx @FFmpeg
