I was previously running my Rane A-trak mixer @RaneDJ with this MacBook Air with Serato DJ Pro software. When I Hooked up @UrbanHookUpz the Pioneer DJM-S7 mixer to the laptop 💻. I noticed the request from Apple to update to the Sequoia operating system. (Understanding glitchy happenings from outdated software or drivers, I immediately updated my computer to the most current Apple Sequoia Os update.) 😎 Cool: on to loading Serato and getting my Pioneer mixer setup and Active. When I loaded my Serato DJ Pro software, I noticed Serato also needed to be updated to Serato 3.2 . I did the Serato update, all the while, my Pioneer DJM-S7 remained active, connected by USB, waiting to go. * Next came the prompt that my Pioneer mixer needed updating, so I did, at the same time, also installing the Pioneer utilities Software/Drivers. https://t.co/0ojeI075T3 ______________ 🛑* Here's where it gets glitchy and errors can occur When downloading software having your mixer connected by USB can possibly glitch things up. ------------------ ⛳ Please see this if you have No Sound or glitched mixer sound signal 🚦 problems. https://t.co/jZla6jDdba ------------------ 💥What I did to start to resolve whatever glitch I was in: (1) Uninstalled and removed the Pioneer DJM utility (2) Reinstalled the DJM Audio utilities making sure my S7 mixer was not, live USB connected, to the computer. (3) I deleted and uninstalled Serato DJ Pro, then reinstalled it. (4) Checked my MacBook Air Audio settings and MidiAudio utilities tool settings. (5) Checked Serato DJ Pro Audio settings (6) Made sure virus protection or MAC had not blocked anything from functioning. ----------------- Plugged everything in and Drum 🥁 roll. (((( I Had Sound))))! But, guess what? * I still had sound issues ! My sound was coming out tanky almost doubled. I then switched software and ran Traktor DJ Pro 4 software to see if my mixer had an issue. 🤔To my surprise the Pioneer DJM-S7 was running wonderfully in Native Instruments @NI_News Traktor DJ Pro. This is How I knew that the Tanky audio sound issue I had must be a Serato DJ Pro sound settings issue. The next hard part, was to decipher where the heck the problem was? I spent much time going through FX and Audio settings and could not get rid of the audio Tanky output? Finally, by reading a forum post in the Serato forum, I discovered that," the Check ✅ box for audio output to laptop speakers was checked. When running my Rane Mixer this was never an issue! ------- Friends: Audio Tanky output, strange feedback, or squelching sounds from the mixer can be from having the check box for audio output to laptop speakers active. Uncheck the box if running Pioneer DJM-S7 - S11 battle mixers on Mac computers currently running on Sequoia Os . ------------ Gone are the days of just plugging in RCA cables into phono turntables and doing your thing . You need to be, a sound engineer, a dedicated patient learner, or at least have a friend like ANWAR who writes articles to hook you up 🫵🏾
