The irregularities and allegations of corruption in the appointment of Government Advocates in District Courts are deeply disturbing and raise serious concerns about the integrity of the selection process. People are now asking whether Chief Minister @TVKVijayHQ Vijay’s much publicized statement, “We will spare neither the one who is touched nor the one who touches” (meaning, no one involved in wrongdoing will be spared), was merely a punch dialogue written on paper and read out for effect. This question has gained traction because, within the very first set of appointments made after the TVK government assumed office, serious allegations of corruption and Cash for Jobs have already surfaced, creating widespread public concern. Reports have also emerged that, near Vaniyambadi, a person who was allegedly named as an accused in a goat theft case has been appointed as a Government Advocate. This naturally raises serious questions about the background verification and standards followed in appointments made elsewhere as well. Therefore, I urge Hon’ble Chief Minister @TVKVijayHQ and @CMOTamilnadu to immediately cancel these appointments and initiate a fresh, transparent, merit-based process for appointing Government Advocates. @CTR_Nirmalkumar @NitinNabin @blsanthosh @MenonArvindBJP @ReddySudhakar21 @NainarBJP
