While #USCIS recently announced that it is finally implementing the #Dorcas v. #Edlow court ruling and lifting the hold on applications from 39 countries, applicants from these nations continue to receive notices stating that their cases remain on #hold. Even more troubling, many individuals who filed for #OPT nearly eight months ago are still waiting for their #EADs for standard 12-month programs. This strongly suggests that these applications were not only placed on hold for final adjudication, but may have seen little to no processing progress at all. Otherwise, many of these applicants would have received decisions by now. In a nation founded on the rule of law, there is no place for such bureaucratic disregard of judicial orders. Court decisions are not suggestions—they are mandates. Every day of delay prolongs uncertainty, disrupts careers, and erodes trust in the very institutions meant to uphold justice. #ScientistsInLimbo @CBSNews @FoxNews @ACEducation @AAUniversities

Dear senators @ChrisVanHollen @AlsobrooksForMD As a Maryland resident, I would like to thank you for previously raising concerns with USCIS regarding the adjudication #pause affecting applicants from designated countries. Despite the recent federal court decision in #Dorcas v. #USCIS, some applicants continue to receive notices indicating that their cases remain on hold. We respectfully request continued oversight and inquiry into whether the court's ruling is being fully implemented and when affected applications will resume normal processing. Many of those impacted are #researchers, #students, #physicians, and #professionals who have lawfully lived, worked, and contributed to the United States for years. Thank you for your continued attention to this matter.

Loin des griffes de criminels imaginaires, la suspecte s'était discrètement installée chez une sœur de son assemblée chrétienne pour simuler sa disparition. Son objectif était d'obtenir frauduleusement une rançon de 15 000 $ de la part de ses proches. Elle devra désormais répondre de ses actes devant la justice pour escroquerie et dénonciation calomnieuse.
