@Noname06401912 they've rewritten the GDPR as the #DPDIB which states permission is no longer required from citizens if the data research is for scientific purposes
I completed all three of the forms, including the online ones, but they're now obsolete
The #DPDIB will:
- lower the UK’s data protection standards
- allow and encourage more abusive behaviours from adtech and data broker industry
- help turn the UK into a global data-laundering centre
- make risk of identify theft the price of getting online
- enrich Tories
The Data Protection and Digital Information Bill will help businesses and consumers by:
📈 maintaining high data protection standards
🚫 reducing online consent pop-ups
🌐 improving the UK’s ability to strike global data deals
🔐 making digital identity verification easier
