May is always a transition month in regards to coaching kids. The constant problem solving and adjusting that takes place during an hour long session with 5 people you have never coached is something I always find intriguing. No 2 sessions are the same

PSAπ£οΈ DFW area coaches don't try to get back what you may have "lost" this week by adding extra volume to your training. Play the long game and plan better during the weeks and use your meets as training sessions and you'll be good by April π

Finally finished π€¦πΏββοΈ I left the clinic and went straight to a training session ππ
I know, I'm doing too much. Appreciate all of those who came out, as well as those who brought athletes for me to work with. Hopefully something said or demonstrated was beneficial!

The setup and the application. I feel like anytime hurdlers are practicing their acceleration pattern, it should ALWAYS include the cut step.

I wasn't mic'd up, but I did capture some commentary that typically doesn't show up on camera ππ Just make sure the volume is up to hear the athletes responses π€¦πΏββοΈ I don't know if this is considered "bullying" π

We moved from running over tall things to smaller things. The goal is to take what you had to do over the tall cones and now displace. So the spacing from tall cones to this are totally different because the outcome goals of each exercises are different π

This is why I like working with kids. I pick and choose when to make adjustments, and sometimes it's a one off. The young lady on the right is trying to get her arms synced. She got stuck on this rep and without me saying a word, fixed it on the next rep.
