It's nine months since the garden team at #PriorPark reinstated the planting around the lower lake after the #DamsProject. Given recent spells of sunshine and showers, the plants are coming on nicely. You can't even see the lower dam from this angle. Have you visited recently?
A missing urn has recently returned to Prior Park following the completion of the #DamsProject. The urn was removed from the entrance to Prior Park in 2019 for protection whilst the dams were repaired. The urn has now been placed back onto it's pillar.

21 May marks 30-years of Prior Park being cared for by the @nationaltrust. The garden is fully open following the completion of the #DamsProject and the 30th anniversary boards are on display. Open everyday 10am till 5pm, Tea Shed open weekends.

40 cubic metres of #mulch was delivered at #PriorPark today. This will be used to cover the borders which have recently been replanted as part of the #DamsProject.
Over the last few weeks volunteers have been busy laying a straw mulch on the steeper beds by the lower lake.
It’s been seven years since pictures looked like this at Prior Park. With full lakes and the first cascade now across the whole width of the dam.

Known at Prior Park as 'the climbing tree', this field #maple has had a tough few years with the #damsproject. As garden reinstatement continues, it's been given new mulch, plenty of water and is being protected by a fence. For now it's looking healthy in the frost.

With all the rainfall over the last few weeks, the historic cascade at Prior Park is in full flow and sounding quite impressive. The restored feature was recently planted with native ferns to soften the edges.

A new irrigation system has been installed at Prior Park this week as part of the ongoing #DamsProject. The sustainable solution will use water from the lower lake to regularly water the new shrubberies and help the plants to establish. #Planting #Irrigation #EcoFriendly
Dams project update – the contractors have now left Prior Park and one of the last jobs was removing the hoarding that was at visitor reception and reinstating the path at the entrance that was used for the haul road access.
