As someone who just had to implement row select (via a checkbox) on a virtualised table in an accounting product (companies can have millions of transactions). I can confirm #datastar is pretty good when you need to render a million or more checkboxes.
@DelaneyGillilan The things I work on are usually user dashboards. Faster web rendering doesn't even begin to move the needle on UX.
If I ever need to render a million checkboxes I'll check datastar out tho
I just ran an experiment rendering a status page that includes a table of 200 items pulled from the database.
Option A: streaming HTML that is generated on the fly
Option B: Load the shell and leverage #DataStar and Server-Sent Events to populate the table and related data.

Fun fact putting ids on the right elements can make a big difference when using morph in #datastar at scale (morphing 2500+ divs per frame) especially when using grid layout. I guess I can render 4x more stuff now. 😅
