Drawing on the findings of the Committee on Datasets for State Finance Commissions, he highlighted several systemic challenges that hinder the effective functioning of SFCs, including fragmented data across departments, limited availability of Panchayat-level information, non-uniform accounting practices, inadequate function-wise and sector-wise data, and capacity constraints in data management and analysis.
