I'd actually argue that horror is the most Christian genre of film. Obviously that's not true of the torture porn stuff -- films in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre tradition -- but supernatural horror is often subtly Christian and sometimes very explicitly Christian. It's the only category of film where the supernatural, demons, spirits, exorcisms, the Church, etc, are consistently taken seriously. The only genre where the priest might actually be the good guy. Horror has deep roots in Christian thought and tradition.
@monika__1905 The affair and its fallout is some of the most wrenching, rip-your-heart-out stuff ever ever seen in daytime.
The thought of getting to see it in original broadcast quality literally makes me leap for joy!

There was a specific-appeal *gothic grandiosity* missing from daytime that Reilly managed to resurrect all through his original run (to MEGA ratings success!) that no other writer has attempted to re-capture for a starving audience since.

@daysclassics If there’s a book, let me know I’d read it too. I’ve always wanted to know if he was a fan of Dark Shadows. He certainly used a lot of that shows DNA in his first round of stories which had me hooked! The gothic vibes he resurrected on daytime were my favorite!

"You're afraid that without the goodness and purity of Kristen's spirit, it would bring out the darker forces in you. If you want her to love you... emphasize the positive in her life and her belief in God."

"Who is this mystery woman and what is she hiding? You'll be surprised who emerges from the shadows of the past -- a #Days miniseries event, coming in May!"
The mystery woman was amnesiac, back-from-the-dead Hope (killed 4 years prior) held captive by Stefano at #MaisonBlanche.
