Lots of things going on in @debian at the moment with the ongoing 64-bit time_t transition (Y2038)…

Just punted a few #DebianInstaller things until after Bookworm, feeling a little sad for the bug & patch submitter, but I'm so worried about the possible regressions in code I don't master that it seems best to pick the safest option: don't touch for the time being. 😓
If you want to give #Bookworm a try, a #DebianInstaller Bookworm RC 2 is cooking, hopefully built and published tomorrow.
(The RC 1 is fine too if you're in a hurry, but we have squashed some more bugs since then.)

While I didn't make a big fuss about it in the release announce, I think this brand new #DebianInstaller Bookworm Alpha 2 release might be the biggest game-changer regarding @debian user experience in the 20 years I've been around…
Debian Wraps up the Year with Bullseye 11.6 Release. https://t.co/dJjPsGVSdc Debian 11.6 is now available, and while a minor release, its a mandatory step toward OSs stability. So if youre on... #bugfixes #DebianInstaller #Linuxkernel #securityupdates #SoftwareDeveloper

Spoiler alert: we're very frequently in alignment when it comes to #DebianInstaller topics, and his reasoning made sense, so I went for the exact same ballot.

#DebianInstaller Bullseye RC 3 → https://t.co/dyocsAN3Kq
Hopefully we didn't break anything too badly, and the installer won't require further changes. In this case, we will spin new builds for final images of course, but hopefully my work here is done!

Done:
☑️ Reviewing slides from a “LLUG colleague” for a #FLOSS presentation
Next up:
⏹️D-I Bullseye RC 2 announce
Queued up:
⏹️Testing D-I for the upcoming Debian 10.10
⏹️Documenting plans for firmware vs. D-I Bullseye RC 3
Another heavy @debian/#DebianInstaller day!
Looks like #DebianInstaller testing with updated packages for the upcoming #buster point release looks good enough; quite happy there doesn't seem to be any major problems getting in the way (famous last words…).
