I remember this. Standing with my mum at the bus stop, listening to the adults talk about how decimal coinage would work. Worrying about how to work out their value #decimalisation

Monetary decimalisation for the UK was first muted in the mid 1840's and even trial coins were struck! Some semblance did actually make it into currency, notably the Gothic Florin (1/10th of a pound included on the reverse legend). 1968 the Royal Mint began minting decimal coins
