The setup looks perfect… ...but the P&L still hits harder than it should THIS IS POSITION SIZING Position sizing is how much you trade relative to your account and the risk of the move — not how confident you feel #decodethemarket

Price rips through a level like it isn’t there… then snaps back right after a burst of volume. That’s a STOP RUN. #decodethemarket

Your costs just spiked — and nothing “big” even happened The bid/ask spreads suddenly widen, entries get tougher, and exits get pricier That’s SPREAD WIDENING #decodethemarket

Ever hit Buy/Sell and feel like the market moved before your order did? That gap often comes down to Round-Trip Time (RTT)—the time it takes for your action to travel to the venue and for the confirmation to travel back. #DecodeTheMarket

Price trades at your level… but only the orders that were there first get filled. THIS IS FIFO (Price-Time Priority) #decodethemarket

Price moves faster than you expect Levels don’t hold, and fills get messy THIS IS THIN LIQUIDITY Thin liquidity means there isn’t much resting size in the book, so even small orders can push price through multiple levels. #decodethemarket

Price hits your level… but your fill comes in worse than expected. That’s SLIPPAGE, and it usually shows up when the book is moving fast. #decodethemarket
