Hyderabad Police and GHMC Food #Adulteration team Busted a Racket, sell of #Unhygienic and #DecomposedMeat, Goat & Sheep Offals, seized 300 kgs of #Decomposed Sheep and #GoatOffals in #Mangalhat , #Hyderabad , one Arrested for selling #StaleMeat 🍖 under the pretext of being Fresh and Hygienic On credible information, the team of Mangalhat Police Station, Task Force Golconda Zone, GHMC Officials conducted a raid on 10.03.2026 and busted a cheating activity involving the sale of unhygienic and long-stored meat in the limits of Mangalhat, Hyderabad. During the raid, the police apprehended one accused person namely Mohammed Afroz @ Afroz, who was running a sheep and goat offals business in the name and style of “A to Z Sheep & Goat Offals” at Chisti Chaman Dargah, Mangalhat, Hyderabad. Seized materials: 1.Around 300 kgs of goat & sheep decomposed offals In order to earn illegal profits, the accused used to procure goat and sheep meat/offal’s in bulk quantities from states of Karnataka, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir at very low prices. After procuring the same, he used to store the meat for long periods in deep freezers and plastic tubs filled with stagnant water at his shop to delay decomposition and suppress the foul smell. The accused then used to sell the said long-stored and unhygienic meat to customers by falsely claiming that it was fresh and hygienic. By adopting this method, the accused cheated innocent customers and endangered public health for wrongful gain. Basing on the content of the above receipt, a case has been registered in https://t.co/mMQtDeqv5e: 102/2026 U/s 125,271,318(2) BNS and has been investigating into. During the course of investigation, the team of Mangalhat Police along with GHMC officials, Food Adulteration team rushed to the spot and inspected the premises, where large quantities of meat were found stored in highly unhygienic conditions. During the inspection, approximately 300 kilograms of decomposed goat and sheep offal were identified. The same were seized and taken away by GHMC officials for safe disposal as per the prescribed procedure. Necessary legal action is being taken against the accused person as per law. Police Appeal to public: The Citizens not to purchase meat or food items from unauthorized or unhygienic places and requested to inform the police or concerned authorities if such illegal activities are noticed.
