Indeed. I cringe everytime a so-called “security analyst” says product X is legacy bc it didn’t solve all the security problems. I’m sorry, no single product will ever do. It’s called #DefenseInDepth for a reason & #SIEM is still a key element in a #DefensibleSecurityArchitecture

Despite the flaws, you still do need a SIEM! Nothing but nothing gives you the visibility and situational awareness they offer. This sort of work is some of the hardest in IT, and rarely appreciated. But that doesn't make it worth less. I'm up for the challenge, you?
