In my learning on human brain this week, I’ve learnt about #deindividualization which inspired me a lot on how we should behave as individuals. Do you know that we, as human, when lose our sense of individual identity and submerged in the group's identity, could lead to dangerous and alarming behaviors? Historically what happened during Nazi Germany, and the cultural revolution in China are all classical examples. But why does this happen? Because of our brains’ social wiring. Our brains are wired for social connections. Studies show that our neural responses change when we're part of a group, influencing our actions and decisions. This can be powerful in positive group settings but risky in negative ones. The 1971 #Stanford Prison Experiment by Philip Zimbardo revealed the dark side of human psychology, showing how power dynamics and role-playing can transform normal people into authoritarian guards or submissive prisoners.
