Amazing article by @VLJeker offering a reasonable take on the risks of denaturalization for tax issues. I have seen at least 50 videos on "you may lose your US citizenship if you made even a minor mistake on your tax return." As someone who worked these cases on behalf of DOJ, I can tell you that these statements are simply NOT true. Over the past decade according to high-end estimates 300 individuals have been denaturalized. That is 30 per year. These videos make it seem like every naturalized US citizen who miscalculated an expense on Schedule C now has to fear denaturalization. Please beware anyone scaring you to make money off you. #ImmigrationLaw #Denaturalization
