Our #DenverLockKeeper sent this photo in today looking upstream from #DenverLock, another scorching Friday & the ideal way to try & keep cool, being in or by the water. Please still remember to socially distance & stay on your boats at #Denver & #Hermitage assisted passage locks.
The downstream tidal river #DenverLock floating landing stage now really starting to take shape on the #RiverGreatOuse a @EnvAgencyAnglia #waterway. This much needed facility will double up as a landing stage but also provide a safe place to moor on this tidal stretch of river.

Conditions are favourable again to flushing through #DenverLock, the #RiverGreatOuse on our @EnvAgencyAnglia #waterways. Here our #LockKeeper is doing just that, keeping the downstream tidal silts at bay. Can also see the new tidal landing stage works underway in this short clip.

Levels on the #ElyOuseRiver have been favourable to discharge water through #DenverLock, #RiverGreatOuse part of @EnvAgencyAnglia #Waterways. This can help to keep the siltation build up in front of the tidal lock at bay & reduce desilting works needed. In part thanks to EOETS!

This working boat dating back to 1904 came through #DenverLock on the #RiverGreatOuse yesterday. What a beauty! Has no gearbox to put it in reverse you have to reverse the entire engine so it runs backwards if you can get your head round that!! Great to see additional water too.
(1/2) These historic narrow boats went through #DenverLock on the #RiverGrratOuse today, built in 1914 by Harland and Wolff (they built the titanic in 1912) over 100 years old each and they still sing like a bird! Ben our #LockKeeper has spent all evening chatting to these pair >

Ben our #LockKeeper @ #DenverLock on the #ElyOuse #RiverGreatOuse literally bailed a river user out when his narrowboat began to sink. Ben's quick thinking saved the boat, he got pumps running enabling the leak to be fixed. 1 quick thinking lock keeper = relieved & happy boater!
