@CStanleyRoot #designsessionslive Hey Carrie, Thats a good question.The cabinet competes with the column right next to it. I would remove the cabinet and replace with subway tile backsplash. NO floating shelves. Leave it open to that fabulous window and view!

@anxianhu #designsessionslive Hi Anny, If this were my home, Id go with the L-shape and add a freestanding island/bar table. You could use as an eating table with 2 barstools or for prep space. See attached photo :-)

@CStanleyRoot #DesignSessionsLive Hi Carrie. It depends on what you are doing. If you intend to do the entire house, create a whole house model. If one room... just do that particular room. If you are a beginner, room by room is a good idea. ;-)
@Noah39387390 #DesignSessionsLive Hi Noah. Next months The Design Sessions is on Kitchens if you can wait to get more ideas. For now, Id try and make the painted area above the cabinets go away. Either paint it the color of cabinets or paint cabinets and that area white.
@steveandsandra #DesignSessionsLive Sorry, just now seeing this. To be honest, I do both in my projects. It really depends on your bedroom. Do you have ceilings higher that 8'? If so a chandelier can be nice... placed above the foot of the bed. Pin lights too, if you read in bed
