The regime lost its legitimacy to play a political role, lost its form as a state, and turned into a collection of militias controlling decision-making, making any strategic alliance with it a failure.
The regime is a source of concern for all neighboring countries:
Lebanon was destroyed,
#Jordan was alarmed,
#Iraq was pushed toward militia dominance,
#Turkey’s national security was harmed due to failure in managing the #Kurdish file and causing migration.
Europe’s security was also affected.
🔹 Sects and Communities
No one can eliminate sects or think of erasing them; they have existed for centuries. Sustainable solutions must be found to guarantee safe coexistence for all.
In the face of historic events, everyone spoke their wisdom, and so did the revolution. After 14 years, the revolution passed through setbacks, mistakes, and achievements, learning greatly along the way.

On the day the regime falls, the revolution will seek to open a new page, healing wounds left by the former regime through national unity and prioritizing the country’s interest over narrow agendas.

Through the battle, we’ve learned a fascinating and critical lesson about the nature of war: the relationship between war, politics, and society is not linear or one-directional. Instead, it’s complex, intertwined, and reflective.
As Clausewitz famously said, “War is the continuation of politics by other means.” However, our experience has shown us that politics, in turn, amplifies the effects of war. When control over land, population, and key urban centers surpasses a critical threshold (say, 40%?), the collapse of all forms of combat—whether conventional, unconventional, local, or foreign—becomes inevitable under the new authority. At that point, war becomes less about forcibly seizing every inch of territory and more akin to a military coup from outside the ruling elite.
Another striking observation is the interplay between the “battlefield” and the “hearts and minds,” or in broader terms, between war and society. Just as perceptions can create self-fulfilling prophecies of victory, such as how the imagery of three stars in Aleppo triggered the fall of Hama, Homs, and eventually Damascus, the shift in public sentiment becomes instantaneous when a major event like entering Damascus occurs. At that point, campaigns for support, defense, or allegiance are no longer necessary—the entire nation aligns itself with the new state.
A related point is the distinction between the intensity of battles and the intensity of the war as a whole. How is it, for example, that militias like the National Defense Forces (NDF) in the coastal regions or Hezbollah fighters in Homs—once ideological death squads fighting to the last man—collapsed in mere days or hours? The answer, as simple as it is complex, lies in the fall of the regime itself. Once the system governing and sustaining all of these forces collapses, individual fighting loses its purpose or meaning. The revolution triumphs not just by force but through the disintegration of the structure it opposes.
The Military Operations Department announces a general amnesty for all military personnel conscripted under Assad’s compulsory service.
Their lives are safe and no assault on them is permitted.
