"Yesterday, cordial meeting with #MFO (Multinational Force and Observers) Director General, Ms. Elizabeth #Dibble, and MFO Force Commander, Australian Gen. Michael #Garraway. The MFO international mission was established based on the 1978 Camp David Agreement between Israel and Egypt. MFO plays a crucial role to guarantee that the peace agreement between the two countries is respected and implemented.
One of its most relevant tasks its facilitating military dialogue, an essential element to strengthen mutual trust, promote transparency and support stable longlasting peace, thus contributing to maintain the delicate ragional balance.
In an international context characterized by growing tension, MFO 's role goes beyond the operational dimension to include the political and diplomatic dimension.
As Ms. Dibble underscored, it is fundamental that all Member Countries continue to convincedly support engagement in the mission. MFO is made up of contingents from 14 nations, with 9 countries funding the mission.
#Italy confirmed its contribution, aware of the strategic role it plays in controlling the Tiran Strait, one of few access points to the Red Sea for Israel.
An engagement testifying to our #Country willingness to contribute to collective security and international peace, consistently with the principles of our #Constitutionn and International Law.

"Hier, j’ai eu un entretien cordial avec la directrice générale, Mme Elizabeth #Dibble, et le commandant des forces, le général de division australien Michael #Garraway, de la #FMO (Force multinationale et observateurs), une mission internationale créée à la suite des accords de Camp David de 1978 entre Israël et l’Égypte. La FMO joue un rôle crucial pour assurer le respect et la mise en ��uvre du traité de paix entre les deux pays.
Parmi les tâches les plus importantes, la facilitation du dialogue militaire, un élément essentiel pour renforcer la confiance mutuelle, promouvoir la transparence et soutenir une paix solide et durable, contribuant ainsi à préserver un équilibre délicat dans toute la région.
Dans un contexte international caractérisé par des tensions croissantes, le rôle de la FMO s’étend bien au-delà de la sphère opérationnelle, incluant également la dimension politique et diplomatique.
Comme l’a également rappelé Mme Dibble, il est essentiel que tous les pays membres continuent de soutenir avec conviction l’action de la mission.
La FMO se compose de contingents de 14 pays différents, dont 9 contribuant au financement.
L'#Italie confirme sa contribution, consciente du rôle stratégique que la mission joue dans le contrôle du détroit de Tiran, l'un des rares points d'accès d'Israël à la mer Rouge.

"Ieri, cordiale incontro con il Direttore Generale, Ms. Elizabeth #Dibble, e con il Force Commander, Generale di Divisione australiano Michael #Garraway, della #MFO (Multinational Force and Observers), missione internazionale istituita in seguito agli Accordi di Camp David del 1978 tra Israele ed Egitto. La MFO svolge un ruolo cruciale nel garantire il rispetto e l’attuazione del trattato di pace tra i due Paesi.
Tra i compiti più rilevanti figura la facilitazione del dialogo militare, elemento essenziale per rafforzare la fiducia reciproca, promuovere la trasparenza e sostenere una pace solida e duratura, contribuendo così a preservare un equilibrio delicato nell’intera regione.
In un contesto internazionale caratterizzato da crescenti tensioni, il ruolo della MFO si estende ben oltre l’ambito operativo, includendo anche dimensioni politiche e diplomatiche.
Come peraltro ricordato da Ms. Dibble, è fondamentale che tutti i Paesi membri continuino a sostenere con convinzione l’impegno della missione.
La MFO è composta da contingenti provenienti da 14 diverse nazioni, con 9 Paesi che contribuiscono con fondi economici.
L’#Italia conferma il proprio contributo, consapevole del ruolo strategico che ricopre nel controllo dello Stretto di Tiran, uno dei pochi punti di accesso di Israele al Mar Rosso.
Un impegno che testimonia la volontà del nostro #Paese di contribuire alla sicurezza collettiva e alla pace internazionale, in coerenza con i principi della #Costituzione e del diritto internazionale".
