A heated exchange in Germany's Bundestag has resurfaced online months after it first took place, turning into one of social media's most-discussed political moments.
During a March debate on women's rights, Kathi Gebel, a lawmaker from Die Linke, was interrupted by Martin Reichardt of the far-right Alternative for Germany. Gebel responded with a sharp one-liner that drew laughter and surprise inside the chamber before she continued her speech.
After the clip went viral again on social media, Gebel posted a follow-up video acknowledging that she had misstated the scientific figure about the number of nerve endings in the clitoris. She corrected the information, citing medical research, but said the core message of her criticism remained unchanged.
