DigiByte's #DigiSpeed protocol makes transactions lightning fast.
In 2015, #DigiByte implemented the DigiSpeed protocol, which reduced block timings from 30 seconds to 15 seconds.
#DigiByte's focus on optimizing block timing and adjusting difficulty levels through protocols like #DigiSpeed and #DigiShield ensures a smooth and efficient transaction experience, even during periods of high network activity.
@Vince50818862 #Digibyte scales using #digispeed protocol, doubling TPS every 2 years as technology in memory storage and bandwidth speeds increase #Mooreslaw
$DGB
Why not add some recent #DigiByte #blockchain block data while we are at it! 15 second blocks keep $DGB speeding away at 40x the speed of #Bitcoin. If you have never experienced #DigiSpeed, I dare you to send a DGB TX today & compare to $BTC.
Woohoo! This is the very first time in 9 years that all 5 $DGB mining algo difficulties have been plotted in real time on a chart to show how #DigiShield / #MultiShield work live. The #Digibyte #Blockchain is constantly adjusting all 5 algo diffs to keep the network secure:
#DigiSpeed was activated in December 2015 and was focused on making the #DigiByte transaction speeds faster. Block time was reduced by 50% from 30 seconds to 15 seconds that made it 40x faster than #Bitcoin.
5/ #DigiByte's approach to solving the #BlockchainTrilemma combines the use of technology advancements with its innovative #DigiSpeed protocol, making it a powerful solution for balancing decentralization, scalability, and security in blockchain. #DigiByte2023
How #DigiByte solves the #BlockchainTrilemma
1/ #DigiByte uses a unique approach to balance #Decentralization, #Scalability & #Security in its blockchain network. This is made possible through the #DigiSpeed protocol & the use of technology advancements like Moore's Law.
The #digispeed protocol is ready to double TPS every 2 years once adoption gets to a point where current blocks are filling with transactions. A lot of people think this is impossible, especially small block bitcoin maxis) due to storage requirements and bandwidth.
I just realized something cool. I was listening to a video and they mentioned Moore's law, where the number of transistors in a circuit double every 2 years, and data storage capabilities also double every 2 years. Then I thought about #digibytes #digispeed protocol
๐งต Block 1,430,000. December 4th 2015, #DigiSpeed activated to reduce block time from 30 seconds to 15 seconds for faster transactions.
@BCHAINVISION #DigiByte is a Proof-of-Work blockchain that can scale. It doesn't need to sacrifice decentralization for scalability. With #DigiSpeed it has improved its TPS from 30 seconds to 15 seconds and once Lightning network gets on board, it will drastically improve its TPS even more.
Did you know #DigiByte implemented the #DigiSpeed protocol in 2015? This allowed $DGB to decrease from 30 second to 15 second block timings. Lightning fast!
@MASTERBTCLTC @Digi_Dawg Digibyte can scale to 280k tps onchain with #digispeed and faster bandwidth, #starlink.
@indigo_nakamoto #digibyte doesn't require a separate offchain network to process fast transactions, currently 1066 tps and further scalable.
I run a full node with only 35GB of memory currently needed for an 8 year strong UTXO PoW blockchain

Another #DigiByte block is added to the chain every time this 15 sec video plays. #DigiSpeed mechanically programs $DGB to be the fastest and longest #blockchain in existence.

We are back and working hard to respond to everyone who contacted us whilst we were away! We hope you had a wonderful break and managed to get some rest (and cake) in. #catchupsoon #DigiSpeed
