A respected virologist who contracted #Covid at #DisConIII Follow this thread as he documents his experience with the virus.
I've decided to create a rolling thread of my experiences with COVID-19. Partly because I expect many others will soon have it, and I hope this can guide them. Partly because I think we need records of as many different case experiences as possible. 🧵 So, it begins!
We were able to pick up a pair of COVID test kits in Chicago. Still testing negative even after having been in the same room with someone who has come up positive after #DisConIII. Will test again when we get to New Orleans.
The rapid test says I'm positive. Jon is negative, btw. #disconiii #worldcon #covid
We stayed at the hotel, masking full time. We ate in our room. We attended the business meeting, and went to the filking and the Hugos. We also went to the dealers room and the con suite.
