Thread on #DiscoveryReform cuz you might have thought that getting “the evidence” in a #CriminalJustice case against you was “the norm”. It isn’t.
NY prosecutors right now are lobbying to severely limit “discovery reform.” A law simply requiring prosecutors to turn over all evidence to defense or risk dismissal. Their gripe: It’s too much work to collect, copy, & send it all to the defense. Consequences aren’t fair. Really.
