Okay so I promised you guys some news & here it is. (For those that have been following along.) I didn’t make it into #DisneyLaunchpad. BUT I’m not as sad as I thought I WOULD be. I’m okay! I am however grateful that I tried & now I KNOW I CAN do this! So I’m not stopping here.
Waiting for a greenlight? I cannot sing the praises of this woman enough. She opened not only a window, but an elevator door w/ every button pushed so ALL floors get to jump on & rise. Follow her, listen to the podcast, & BUY THE WORKBOOKS. Make your movie! #disneylaunchpad
Alright so here’s a thread about how I wrote/produced/directed a short film about a Black Feminist couple planning a patriarchy free commitment ceremony in a pandemic for $5600.
It’s a comedy called “The Love You Want Exists”
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I keep tryna forget I applied for #DisneyLaunchpad because it makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it! 😩🤣 It’s almost here! I’m gonna cry either way y’all! 😬🤣
@shayewyllie To team up with you on #DisneyLaunchpad Season 2? Too much to ask? Fine. Then I ask TOO MUCH!

Y’al remember that script I randomly wrote for #DisneyLaunchpad? Remember I said a director was gonna take a look at it? Well … that happened. I got the notes back today. I’m too scared to even open this email! Idek why I even typed this shit out. I ain’t opening that thang! 🤣
- por que tudo seu é rosa?

@disneyplus should expand the #DisneyLaunchpad short ‘Growing Fangs’ into a movie or a series. It could be a really fun way for a young audience to explore personal, ethnic, and sexual identity.
Also, more multicultural vampires onscreen would be nice.
