"You leave #home, you move on and you do the best you can. I got lost in this old world and forgot who I am." -- #TheHouseThatBuiltMe โค.
Working on remembering who I am, doing the best I can, & making a home for myself.

While there's no #control panel for my emotions (if there was I'd have it on lock) it is possible to control my reactions & how I show up for myself/others. This week I learned a much needed lesson in feeling my emotions & giving them the motion they deserve.

Grad school has truly been a #test of my endurance, let me tell you. When I finish this #MRE & I will, I'm looking forward to doing absolutely nothing for at least a week...maybe longer.

Today while I was #out on a walk with a friend I saw a Blue Heron. It was cool. Also, I've come to the conclusion that going out for walks is the new "let's get coffee" & I'm a-okay with this new development.

Hi, yes! I'd like to #cancel my subscription to the following magazines: AW (Anxiety Weekly), B+S (blame + shame) & Imposters. Changing old narratives is really important to me rn so I'm looking for some new reading material.

Feeling grateful for this end of the year gift ๐โ. It's important to reap what you sow & today I did just that. Reading all these "warm fuzzies" from the #PLPL team reminded me about why I love what I do. I'm holding this piece of #community so tight rn.

Going to the caf brings me #joy. For a while it brought me anxiety & fear of human interaction but now it's the highlight of my day. I've become a familiar face which means I'm greeted with big smiles, enthusiasm & jokes. Also, I get food so that's a win!

#Nostalgia to me is watching #TheMagicSchoolBus every day after school with my grandma and eating snacks. I think I'm going to bring this back every now and then. Y'know, just for the feels ๐.

Just because we're practicing #physicaldistancing doesn't mean we have to feel #isolated. Even if that means you have to sit outside a friend's door in order to hang out and visit each other's islands in #ACNH.

We're all works in progress. And I'm doing my best every day to switch gears, #adapt, and meet life wherever I am.

Here are all the days I missed for #distantdrawing
So, clearly #PhysicalDistancing has gotten to me but I decided to name some things in my apartment as #coworkers. Meet Dawn, Bri, Thod and Odyn -- they work tirelessly with me to keep me going during this pandemic!

Day 12: gratitude #distantdrawing
I watched #Memento (2000) today. It was so good! Leonard, the main character, always had a #distant look in his eyes. He was also an unreliable & #distant narrator ๐.

Very grateful for the people who have been delivering on all fronts. Whether you're delivering an essential service, food, resources, or funny/encouraging content I appreciate it all โคโ๐ซ.

While #support looks different right now it still feels the same. Even though my best friend & I can't sit together, eat junk food & chat, we can still support each other. We phonetalk everyday, multiple times a day, & we hangout on each other's islands in #ACNH. #DistantDrawing
