The blessed Tulsi 🌿 It is an old practice in our Sanatana Dharma, specially among ladies, to have a Tulsi Vrindavan in the front yard of the house. Presently in cities it is not possible, hence still the practice of having Tulsi atleast planted in a pot for the purpose of worship in the balcony or window is common. Tulsi is worshipped early morning, upto maximum twelve noon, by offering vermillion & turmeric, flowers & also lighting dhoop or incense. While doing this, it is important to touch the Tulsi plant, because it protects us from any negativity & also helps in grounding the bad energy. The flowers that were offered the earlier day should be removed & touched to the nose & above the eyelids. Then the customary worship should be done. Also in the end, a little soil from near the Tulsi root should be applied to the forehead. It is a divine experience when these Nirmālya flowers are touched above the eyelids gently, because they offer cooling to the eyes. The Tulsi roots & soil are similar to the waters of all sacred rivers. Hence it is not surprising that these Prasādam flowers also offer the same feeling when touched to the forehead & near the eyelids.
