A Brisbane couple became pet detectives after losing sight of their Cavoodle on the Gold Coast. @jamescourt77 @BBCRadio4 @EvanHD Thanks James I’ll listen on catch up. As you say #DogTheft is an awful crime. #Dogs aren’t chattels, they’re family members! #DogKnapping should carry heavy penalties for the criminals who do it.

@LeonFear @MattGubba Well said Leon! It would be interesting for the #Police & #RSPCA to profile these #DogKnapping #criminals Who are they? Is some of it organised & if so by whom? The #Dog loving public, & their #canine friends, need protection from what at times feels an onslaught of #DogTheft

@MattGubba I totally agree! #Dogs are an important part of a #family & are not chattels. A fine is simply not enough for the despicable act of #DogKnapping which should attract a long prison sentence. These outbreaks of #DogTheft must be stopped. #Police #Magistrates #Crime
