Another example of how the system harms more than helps. After 13 yrs, I canceled my own health insurance. On the rare occasion a medical professional was capable of helping me, their hands were tied by my insurance Co to do so.
I can confirm. Male experts & specialists brushed me aside, talked over me, said they knew my body better than I did. A few took one look at me, learned of what I did for a living, and assumed I had body dysmorphia.
They were wrong. They caused harm.
