Because of stigma girls will result to dangerous methods like drinking broken bottles, inserting stick in their vagina, drug abuse just to get the abortion done. I think it’s because people still think some people abort just for the fun of it and don’t consider the health implications. I totally agree because, approximately 45% of abortions in Ghana are unsafe. Also this can cause complications like severe bleeding, perforated wombs, infertility & even death, because they don’t do the necessary tests before. #SafeAbortionSaves #StigFAS2020 #DropThatStigma

Globally, approximately 13% of all maternal deaths are due to complications of unsafe abortion.
