In the 1930s, when astronomers began measuring the rotation of spiral galaxies, they discovered something apparently impossible. Stars at the outer edges of galaxies were moving far too fast for the amount of visible matter present. According to classical gravitational models, galaxies should have literally torn themselves apart. To preserve the standard framework, physics introduced Dark Matter, an invisible and still undetected component meant to provide the “missing mass.” Yet after nearly a century: no Dark Matter particle has ever been directly detected not at CERN not in underground detectors not in direct cosmological observations At the same time, modern observations started revealing something even more important: Galaxies do not behave like simple gravitational collections of isolated stars. They oscillate. They undulate. They exhibit coherent collective motions, including the recently observed “butterfly wobble” behavior of the This is where the NMSI framework introduces the concept of PON-G, the Galactic Plasma Oscillatory Network. In NMSI, galactic plasma is not a passive medium. It acts as a gigantic electromagnetic coupling layer linking stars, magnetic fields, and energetic fluxes into a coherent oscillatory structure. In other words, a galaxy behaves less like a cloud of independent objects and more like a coherent flexible membrane filled with stars. This changes the interpretation completely.
