Okay, today I was at our local discounter and since it is october, they have these things. You probably know these, they are battery powered lights for kids lanterns. We live in LED times, so they are bright white. That's wrong if you grew up with candle fire hazards. #estuff

Okay so now I'm going to use the Bosch BME280 sensors for humidity measurement only and for temperature I'm going to use DS18B20 sensors who have half the BME's tolerance and costs half of the BME. The BMEs I already bought. ;_; #estuff
We discussed using different sensors and I had one in mind but it comes with a +-0,5°C tolerance which felt too high for me. Suddenly I had a thought and downloaded the datasheet from my sensor... well, see for yourself. I got exactly what I ordered. #estuff
Okay. I build my first sensor. Not as a prototype but for realsies with a case and stuff. Everything worked until I taped all components in and closed the lid. Then I got in a reset loop I think. Too tired, have to check tomorrow... #estuff

I talked with my wife about the button functions and she gave me some good ideas. I finished the software after breakfast but did not fieldtest it yet. Maybe when the kid sleeps... #estuff

The white LEDs are RGB LEDs with a builtin WS2811 driver chip. You put them on VCC and ground, put one input pin on your controller and the output pin to the next LEDs input pin. Then you can send RGB values and they do their magic! <3 #estuff

The solution is you take a crazy ass small resistor (around 0.1 ohm), put it in your circuit where you want to measure the current and measure the voltage dropped on the resistor. Ohms law states I = U / R. You know R (0.1) and you just measured U. #estuff
And their PCBs are crapshit. I threw the engine stuff out, unsoldered the engines and re-wired them directly to a multimeter and did some tests. Well. I manually test-feeded a few darts and fired them straight across the living room. #estuff
Oh yes. A little update! Yesterday I went over to friends for a little nerf modding party and I started dismantling the RapidStrike. Took out the engine case and found out why it is not working. The damage I did unknowingly last time was too much. #estuff
Controller works fine in the Disruptor and the Disruptors controller has the same issues in the Strongarm Circuit. This means circuit error which makes me kinda unhappy because I can handle software issues better. :) #estuff
