Today, the EUAA hosts its annual Consultative Forum Meeting, bringing together civil society & international partners from across EU.
🤝 Sharing feedback & insights is essential in creating a fair, humane & transparent EU asylum system
The EUAA's Consultative Forum #EUAACF, over the past 2 days, brought together civil society from across 🇪🇺 to discuss the state of play of asylum, incl. the Agency's recently adopted #FundamentalRights Strategy and the work ahead on implementing the Pact.
We thank all participants for their contributions as we work towards a stronger and more resilient 🇪🇺 asylum & reception system.
#CivilSociety & #NGOs now have a stronger voice on #asylum & #reception in Europe!
Last week, the #EUAA Consultative Forum met for the first time in its revised composition to exchange ideas on how the new #EUAACF should work in practice.

Working together at the @EUAsylumAgency #EUAACF to shape our Consultative Forum so it can effectively influence asylum policy/practice & improve respect for rights of refugees & stateless people. Lots of great ideas & energy but moving forward more resourcing will be required!
Dr. @sarahaadeyinka Founder of CoCreate NGO has just been elected as the first Chairperson (ad interim) of EUAA’s Consultative Forum #EUAACF, the Agency’s main channel for cooperation with civil society.
Her role will be vital in setting up the required structures needed.
