The EU sent almost 20 000 notifications for the export of hazardous chemicals to 156 non-EU importing countries.

Following an amendment to #EU_PIC Regulation, EU exporters are now required to notify their intention to export 22 harmful #chemicals. The amendment also bans the export of four chemicals. The update starts to apply from 1 July 2022.

Ethylene dichloride was the EU’s most exported PIC chemical and benzene the most important PIC chemical in 2019.
