#EditorTip If you're writing nonfiction, do not reference the pandemic. It’s on all of our minds right now, but once we’re on the other side, no one is going to want to think about it for a good, long time. And then those references will quickly date your book.

Pronouns in writing are useful as long as you keep each pronoun's subject clear for your readers.
Otherwise, they might not make complete sense to them when they try to understand what they're saying or doing because they can't tell what subject a pronoun refers to .
