Happy to have gained more knowledge about Elections through a recent training organised by NDI Malawi. I am eager to use this knowledge into action and work alongside fellow youth leaders to ensure that our voices are heard and our aspirations are represented. #Electionstraining

#electionstraining Let me confess! Today as media practitioners we underwent a @ZECzim training session where they simulated voting day, stage by stage, process by process ! This is the most rigging tight system, a poll based polling station CAN NOT BE RIGGED! Rigging will only happen when you do not have your polling agents present, monitors or observers at polling stations, hence you can not speak of an outcome, a process you did not oversee! The results of the polling station once agreed and signed are then placed outside the polling station as a sealed and agreed outcome! Where agents are not under any duress, and fully present and agreed to the outcome, it’s binding! So if there is rigging the process is done before or after the polling station Voter intimidation, polling station movement, voters roll, structured village voting, voter apathy, and gerrymandering could be such fears not the actual voting process! Processes before actual voting and those after voting of collecting presidential votes for the constituency could be other grey areas! Once a vote is confirmed and recorded in the polling station, the outcome of it may be as concrete as the result. #media @Zim_Media_Com @ZECzim @unescoROSA @UNDPZimbabwe @euinzim @FranceZimbabwe
