So much this - hands up if you’re part of a group that either has to run at lunchtime or not at all when the days are short. It’s such a shame, as all of @elinoroberts’ #ElinsRemoteRunningClub were doing so well in late spring, summer and early autumn. Winter is very difficult 😔
I ran tonight, with the full moon guiding me. It was beautiful, but as ever, reminded me how privileged I am, to be able to run, at night, without fear of being targeted, because of my sex or the colour of my skin. We have a long way to go, don’t we, until we all feel this safe.

Did I even run unless I share it?! This was yesterday, after zero sleep. We realised that paraphrasing Aaron Burr with a “worry less, smile more” motto meant running happier. Including my 5 min warm-up walk, this wasn’t too bad! #elinsremoterunningclub #amarjitandsuzedosomemovez
Dreaded today’s #c25k run - my first 28 min run for week 8, after a really rubbish last 25 min run to round off week 7. In fact, wasn’t going to go at all. However, #elinsremoterunningclub somehow gave me the confidence to get out and do it. And I did! #amarjitandsuzedosomemovez
Without a shadow of a doubt, w7r3 has been my worst run yet. I clock watched. I wanted to (but didn’t) stop. I truly didn’t enjoy it. And I’ve swallowed a flower or a bug. Still, it is done, and pace was a bit better too. #c25k #amarjitandsuzedosomemovez #elinsremoterunningclub
Out of curiosity I tracked the pace of my 25 min run today, without the warm-up and cool-down walks. I wasn’t too sure about the pace, but seem to be on a par with the rest of #elinsremoterunningclub so that has cheered me! More to work on post-#C25k 🥰 #amarjitandsuzedosomemovez

Didn’t want to #c25k today. Has been snowing on and off all day. Thanks to some timely encouragement from #elinsremoterunningclub, I not only got out, but I ran my furthest (still tiny 😂) distance in my fastest (still slow 😂) time, and in the single window of blazing sunshine!
