The endpapers on this copy of Thomas Moore's Works (New York, 1821) are over-marbled printer's waste. You know we love over-marbled printer's waste, but we especially love how select words peek through the marbling on this example.

Super rad #EndoftheWeekEndpapers from an 1831 German hymnal. That gridding over the ombre colors is just so unique, we just had to stop and stare (and share).
Imagine our surprise--and sheer delight--upon finding these loud green moiré endpapers inside this fine red binding!
And yes, they are almost quite certainly arsenical.
