Over the weekend, we kicked off the Renewable Energy Training Program at the University of Maiduguri, a key milestone under the #EnergizingEducationProgramme (EEP) Phase II, a strategic step towards building local capacity and advancing Nigeria’s move to sustainable energy.
I’m truly excited about the progress we’re making on the #EnergizingEducationProgramme (EEP) Phase III. Construction is now over 80% complete across the eight beneficiary federal universities and one teaching hospital.

The VC further gave assurance that academic efforts on research, development, and innovation by students and staff members of the institution will be targeted at exploring clean, sustainable energy solutions, leveraging the objectives of REA's #EnergizingEducationProgramme (EEP).
#DidYouKnow? The REA is one of the key agencies on the frontline of mainstreaming inclusion and gender balance in the off-grid space.
Through the #EnergizingEducationProgramme Phase II, the Agency has trained & certified 140 female interns through its STEM Internship.
This initiative is part of the #EnergizingEducationProgramme #EEP signed into action on 1st Nov 2023 by Engr @modisalihijo, in partnership with @ceesolar_energy to empower women in STEM fields, equipping them with skills in solar system design, PV installation & system deployment

The AfDB remain a key partner of the REA, cofunding the NEP while equally supporting the delivery of all objectives under the phase III of the #EnergizingEducationProgramme
Lots of lessons learnt from Phase I of the #EnergizingEducationProgramme, thus efforts are being made to use these lessons to improve on phases II and III, towards having more cost efficient, reliable and sustainable systems in place! #ItHasBeenAJourney #FemaleProgrammeManager
