Akogo is a traditional dance of the Iteso people, the Nilo-Hamites in Eastern Uganda.
The dance is performed to the sound of thumb piano (akago), small drum, and flutes customized to a softer sound.

Agwara is a royal dance traditionally performed before the Rwot (King). The dance evolved as a mudding dance. Alur people used to sing Agwara songs while mixing the mud for building houses.

Agwara dance, derived from the Agwara (side-blown trumpets) used for accompanying the dance of the Lugbara people. The Lugbara people are settled over the areas surrounding the borders of DRC and South Sudan in Northern Uganda.

The Bakisimba dance
This is the oldest and most common among the Baganda people in central Uganda
Bakisimba is danced by both men and women for entertainment on almost any occasion when a celebration is not contrary to the purpose.

Both the men and women jump and thump the ground as they raise their hands up and down to match the legs. There is so much energy evidenced in this dance, vibrating from the dancers to the ground, as well the screams of excitement complimenting the singing.

In celebration of their hard work and harvest, they perform the Kizino dance consisting of hand-clapping, embuutu (big drum), endere (flute), ensaasi (shakers) and rhythmic singing led by a lead singer.

Ekizino dance
This is the traditional dance of the Bakiga people from the southwestern part of Uganda known as Kigezi.
They are known for being tirelessly hardworking agriculturalists capable of working from morning to evening.
