@Lee_AnneWalker Sussan Ley effectively disqualified herself from #environmentbill negotiations. Constant negativity, no public credible policy alternatives and crafted misinformation, all wrapped in self entitlement. Her bluff was called, she lost. No good bleating now.
Opposition Leader Sussan Ley is utterly unconvincing #afternoonbriefing claiming disingenuously she wanted to do a deal #environmentbill
Zero credibility; no one believes this for a second. Bye bye LNP #Auspol
🪇 Delighted to sponsor an event in the Senedd celebrating the passing of the #EnvironmentBill marking a milestone in #CleanAir legislation (& #soundscapes too!)🥂
My congratulations to all those who've campaigned tirelessly👏

Thank you to everyone who came to our event in the Senedd on Tuesday celebrating the passing of the #EnvironmentBill

We invited MSs from all parties to join a panel discussion. @JFinchSaunders @mabonapgwynfor and @Amanwy spoke about implementing the #EnvironmentBill and ‘robustly’ debated some of the issues. Sadly @DoddsJane was not in Cardiff so couldn’t make it a 4 party panel

The event was sponsored by @huw4ogmore who thanked Healthy Air Cymru charities for their tenacity over the last 7 years calling for a ‘Clean Air Act’ and shaping what became the

Thank you to everyone who came to our event in the Senedd on Tuesday celebrating the passing of the #EnvironmentBill

Tonight’s the night of our @HealthyAirCymru #EnvironmentBill at the Senedd. Thank you to @Amanwy @JFinchSaunders @mabonapgwynfor @huw4ogmore for taking part. It’s going to be a great event
We campaigned for a new #EnvironmentBill, which became the landmark #EnvironmentAct in 2021 & established the @OfficeforEP
We helped ensure that the OEP:
🧐 could carry out its own investigations
💷 had a 5-yr budget
🧑⚖️ covered England & NI 4/

Thank you @SharpEndITV for interviewing me on the #EnvironmentBill this morning. Such a horrible wet morning. Popped to @coffi_co to warm me up before cycling home

Diolch @TeleriGlynJones & @DanDaviesDavies for inviting me on @BBCRadioWales #Walescast today to discuss the passing of the #EnvironmentBill , a milestone moment on the journey to tackle air pollution. @HealthyAirCymru and members have worked with all parties on this for 6 years

Last night @SeneddWales agreed final amendments to the #EnvironmentBill . We didn’t get all the amendments we wanted but the Bill still improved with a requirement to set a long term target for a pollutant other than PM2.5 and a new #ActiveTravel section

📢Today the #EnvironmentBill is being debated in the Senedd.
We're calling for the bill to include a target for NO2.
👀Read our open letter to the Senedd, signed by 36 organisations, asking members to vote for stronger clean air legislation. 👇

Today is the second stage debate for the #EnvironmentBill . This is where all parties can make amendments to the Bill and improve it. Here’s what we are looking out for …

Thank you to Deputy Minister for Climate Change, @Amanwy , for joining our CEO @swoolnough on the @HealthyAirUK event at #LabourConference23 . Great opportunity to talk about the Welsh clean air plan and the #EnvironmentBill
Delighted to join panel for @HealthyAirUK @IPPR event on cleaning the air and decarbonising transport. Great discussion on the next steps to tackle toxic air and make the case for bolder political leadership for health, climate and transport. #LabourConference23

Often politicians are accused of ‘all being the same’ and that ‘nothing ever changes’. In @Amanwy we have a Minister who wants to take radical action to reduce air pollution. @asthmalungcymru support 20mph and the #EnvironmentBill . We hope the vote of no confidence fails

The Stage 1 vote on the #EnvironmentBill was passed with 37 votes for and 15 against. We are disappointed it didn’t get complete cross-party support at this stage and we look forward to seeing amendments to improve the Bill further

Speaking on behalf of the Finance committee, @PeredurPlaidAS is concerned that there are still question marks on the costs of key parts of the #EnvironmentBill. The largest cost is predicted to be linked to air pollution monitoring. The more polluters covered, the higher the cost

Great contributions from @huw4ogmore in the #EnvironmentBill calling for more detail to be on the face of the Bill. It creates no extra burden on government but will ensure that the Senedd can hold a future government to account

Lee Waters has agreed to amend the #EnvironmentBill to produce an annual report to the Senedd setting out the consideration they have given to using Section 1 to set long-term targets on @WHO air quality pollutants – and Ammonia. These pollutants would be named on the Bill.
