@DurangoEscape Q6: you assume that people actually respect the label. Lol I’m not in favor of labeling the props unless you don’t want them to touch them. Otherwise, we assume everything is fair game and part of the experience. #EscRoomChat
@DurangoEscape Primarily just because of location, but we’re expanding. Just did 5 Rooms while we were in New Orleans. Play-tested @ClueCarre new room Evolution of Gaming which opened Friday. Loved the game and that we were able to provide feedback to the owner. #EscRoomChat

@DurangoEscape We are primarily a review site for rooms, but we’re getting more and more into using our powers for good to consult for escape room companies on refreshing rooms or collaborating with the design or story build. #EscRoomChat
@EscapeRmGuys That’s definitely frustrating. When we gamemaster we do sometimes here comments saying “I hope this leads to something.” Which is concerning that there are rooms out there that would mislead participants to such a great extent. #EscRoomChat
@DurangoEscape Q3: we had one that actually opened a padlock that had a holiday message inside. Totally useless. I was a bit annoyed that it opened a lock which I thought was advancing the game. #EscRoomChat
@DurangoEscape Q4: absolutely critical. Something that takes you out of the period or theme breaks the overall experience. This is one of the ratings in our reviews that I’m a stickler on (this is ERG Mike, btw). #EscRoomChat
@DurangoEscape Q3: believable that it is a clue, but something that ends quickly (shouldn’t take 10+ min to figure out it’s a misdirection). Distractions are part of the game... not a major role. #EscRoomChat
Q4: How important is it to ensure that #props are "period appropriate" or "theme related"? Ex) A 40s spy theme using 40s style props. #EscRoomChat
@DurangoEscape In a room based on zombies, have a clue based using butterflies, for example (or something not zombie or lab-related). If you want to be sadistic, you can have it lead to something else (not a lock or back to the main game) and then dead-end. Lol #EscRoomChat
