Finally got blocked by @theblockguru for my persistence... living up to his name
I guess his investigation is complete and the findings are that he was the #ETHLinQ scammer all along. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for months but blocking with no answers is sufficient confirmation
Please be careful interacting with projects associated with that account

How's the 'investigation' going into the @ETHLinQ scam @TheBlockGuru?? Last chance. People who trusted you are waiting for answers.
I recently got rugged by a token project called #ETHLinQ promising decentralised liquidity for holders
Yesterday I was alerted to a project called @SnarcAI that uses a similar DApp UI so I thought I'd take a look to see if there was a link
In short, I don't think there is.... however I wanted to share what I found in case it helps others expand on their own due diligence routines
1) The UI is similar but not identical
Whilst the UIs appear to look the same there material differences. For example, the UI background's green is a different shade on the two projects and the fonts have been changed throughout.
You could say these are obvious adjustments, but then why not change the green background to blue or red to avoid a clear linq (see what I did there)?
More importantly, the heading bars on the retro windows 95 popup boxes are a solid blue on one project and a faded blue to white on the other.
This type of detail change suggest to me that it's not a copy and paste, but more likely a case of the teams using one of the countless react.js repo's that contain these standard templates (here's an example)
https://t.co/qqmE1StAln
If you were born pre-90s, a retro windows look is an obvious choice for a DApp so all in all I think this is probably coincidence or as an outside chance, someone who had got the idea from ETHLinQ
2) The smart contract is a near direct copy of at least 3 other failed token contracts
During a brief search I found 'Hottie Froggy', 'Chicken' and 'ShibEX' all having almost identical smart contracts. I've provided the etherscan 'side-by-sides' for some of these so you can take a look.
$SNARC vs. $FROGGIE

$SNARC vs. $ShibEX
https://t.co/TYCYCMszQR
Clearly I understand that there are services out there providing standard token contracts. However, if this wasn't a copy and paste from another token, I'd expect to find more direct copies during my (admittedly brief) search.
There is also the possibility that the $SNARC devs wrote the original base contract that was used for $ShibEX or $FROGGIE, and are simply re-using it. If that is the case, whilst there's no suggestion the contract isn't robust, I would be concerned that those other projects have clearly failed and been disbanded, based on what we can see from token activity and the websites (the devs for $SibEX and $FROGGIE put their socials directly in the contract and those original websites are both no longer accessible e.g. https://t.co/dLLtvwuPY0)
So what happened to these tokens you ask? Well check out the chart $ShibEX chart below... it's not positive:
https://t.co/dMHWJeMrLi
3) The ShibEX Telegram chat is very similar to that of ETHLinQ but there's no clear link
Many of these token projects use the same TG bots, gifs and language.
I've spent 24hrs in the $SNARC TG (i'm sure that's soon to end) and its much the same as every other token TG. The buys bots are the same as #ETHLinQ, the same gifs are appearing, the constant spamming of /WE_ARE..... chants etc. This is all standard and says as much about the pump chasers as it does the project team itself.
Importantly, I couldn't see any evidence that the devs write in the same way - their TG handles differ in format, so again, nothing obvious to say its the same team.
4) Wallet overlaps for major token holders
I honestly didn't spend much time on this because there's so much nuance to this type of analysis.
Moreover, its pretty easy to create new wallets and whilst people get lazy, you'd assume that any direct link would be hard to pinpoint without significant investigation.
Looking at some of the big wallets I couldn't immediately see any connection, based on transaction history (but again, how you distinguish between holders and project team is not easy).
In short... I didn't find any clear evidence that @SnarcAI is built by the same team as #ETHLinQ, and would lean towards a case of coincidence, rather than there being a direct relationship between the two
Thought I'd share what I looked at in case it helps you in any future due diligence
All in all I don't think there's much evidence to suggest this is the same team. Similar styles yes, and some food for thought, but probably separate in my view.
Whether you wish to invest in any token project is clearly up to you... just always DYOR
I'll post some great due diligence tools in a future post

That‘s happening when you play with copycats jabronis. #ethlinQ rugged and showed clearly that they can’t handle trust & the vision of #DeFi
There‘s only place for the real deal! The one and only #Decentralized Liquidity powered by $LinQ

Sadly, I may have been wrong about #EthLinQ fam. While it’s a great idea. I’m not sure that the team will do the work to make it a success. With that said I’m not selling, as the captain of the ship must go down with it when it sinks. It can still turn around easy, just need the team to put the effort it. Fingers crossed.
@IncomeSharks The @EthLinQ team went live with their decentralised liquidity Launchpad earlier this month
We’re ready, the markets are ready

Great summary form one of the #ethlinq community
If you’re thinking of launching a token with decentralised liquidity, read this
@EthLinQ
If you're looking for a #DeFi project with...
1) Decentralised liquidity
2) Liquidity staking for ETH rewards
3) Token launchpad with revenue share
Look no further than @EthLinQ #ETHLinQ
#crypto #bitcoin #cryptocurrency #blockchain #ethereum #btc #cryptocurrencies #eth #nft
@BLINQNETWORK This is completely wrong info.
#ETHLinq doesnt have any lock at all. Also it has working product - Launchpad. Any token created on it will have LP distributed to holders. And it a no rug launchpad as there are rules for developers.
@EthLinQ Always a pleasure when clicking the claim button and seeing the LP tokens jump from the boost. #EthlinQ
@BLINQNETWORK Welcome to the DeFi space!
Just wanted to suggest some corrections,
#Ethlinq does have a working utility, the launchpad for decentralized liquidity tokens, and there is no liquidity lockup. The rewards are immediately claimable and LP tokens can be removed anytime.
@HunchoGt3 @EthLinQ Yes we do! #ETHLinq
