@CraigAlanson Love #Exforce. At some point Smythe says "I prefer whisky to Scotch" (or words to that effect). But... Scotch is whisky? Smythe is Herefordian. In the UK, you ask for a whisky, you get a Scotch whisky. Did Smythe have a stroke? Does he mean that he prefers Bourbon?
I thought it'd be interesting to post the first 12 minutes of Joe meeting Skippy from #exforce by @CraigAlanson.
Despite the concerns around AGI/ASI, there's a chance this entity could emerge as, well, a funny asshole.
This book has profoundly influenced my positive outlook on AI, and it's fascinating to see how our current AI advancements/potential capabilities echo some of Skippy's lower level capabilities in the books.
The path becomes clearer with each step forward. I'm confident we'll approach something akin to this, and I believe it'll revel in being on our side.
