The payloads are respectively #SharkBot v2.37 and #Octo/#ExobotCompact banking malware. In the case of #SharkBot, the installation is triggered only when the victim’s device has a SIM card from either IT or GB. ThreatFabric has reported both applications to @Google

An interesting fact may be noted here. After the article about #Revive was published, threat actors behind #Coper (aka #Octo / #ExobotCompact) used a similar phishing template and app to deliver their malware 🧐 @cleafylabs #Android #Banking #Trojan #ThreatIntel #malware

The TA behind #ExoBotCompact/#Coper seem to not be aware that they should be celebrating the holiday season with their families. We identified new campaigns spread through phishing links, posing banking applications. The targets include AU and ES, and some test packages.
