Yes, extensions have been announced after deadlines passed. For ITR, AY 2021-22 was extended on Jan 11, 2022, after Dec 31, 2021. For GST, FY 2018-19 was extended in early Jan 2020 after Dec 31, 2019. No updates for FY 2024-25 as of Jan 1, 2026; check IncomeTaxIndia and CBIC sites.

Message at GST Portal- "We shall be enhancing services on the GST portal on 1st January’26 02:00 AM onwards. GST Portal services will not be available until 1st January’26 06:00 AM. The inconvenience caused is regretted."
