Pato the husband and father of the murdered Fati Dosso and Marie , arrives in Italy all on his own after being neglected by the authorities, Italian government , @UNHCRLibya and @IOM_Libya who had asked him to go back to Cameroon. @Yambiodavid writes a poem for him: “In a world of pain and wars, Pato's journey began, Fleeing his homeland with hope, facing trials no one can, Through Libya's treacherous path, he encountered despair, Torture, exploitation, detention and enslavement, a burden hard to bear, But his spirit endured, fueled by determination. Yet amidst the darkness, a willful heart stood, Fati Dosso's love shone, their spirits , a guiding force. Their family grew with the arrival of Marie, Enduring hardships together, forging a bond so free. But tragedy struck, on that fateful July day, Tunisian authorities took his loved ones away, Left in turmoil, his heart torn apart, Pato faced a grief that pierced like a dart. Headlines and media attention, but hypocrisy reigned, Rejection and laughter, his loss so disdainfully feigned, Humanitarian organizations saw his worth, But asked him to return, to a land that rejected his birth. The international community turned a blind eye, The Italian government, mocking his cry, Yet Pato held on, defying all the blows, Rolling the dice on a life only he knows. Against all odds, he stood tall and strong, From forsaken Cameroon to deserts long, Through Libyan mafias and their cruel reign, Tunisian deserts spat him out, his spirit unchained. Rejection and hypocrisy may have tried to defeat, but today those rejections and hypocrisy have been defeated, For Pato's fate is stronger, it's been completed. Fortress Europe borders too shall not have defined his seat, For today, we welcome you, Pato, with open arms, In this place where you're not wanted, we will defy all harms.
