My General Thoughts as per FCT Area Councils election 2026:
1: Abuja historically inhabited by several ethnic groups.
-(a): Gbagyi (Gwari) are the largest indigenous group. Others are Koro, Gwandara, Bassa, Ganagana, Gade,Egbira and Nupe.
2: For a local election, you must take a cognizance of the LOCALS. No matter how your feelings dey.
3: Abuja citizens working in FCT used to retire as a Director.
-(a): To be a Permanent Secretary in FCT was not possible before @officialABAT completed the process started by @MBuhari via the doggedness of @GovWike who fought for it.
-(b): Since 1976, FCT was established, Gwagy has never produced a Minister until @officialABAT CURED that disease despite court rulings.
-(c): Ending 47 years of exclusion.
@Bjisalo was the first beneficiary
4: ELECTION STRATEGIES:
-(a): any party that excluded the locals
Would be punished.
-(b): Election is meant to be WON and not a certificate of participation. It is like a final of AFCON. You lose you wait for another year.
-(c): Technically, @OfficialAPCNg and @OfficialPDPNig got it right in selecting their candidates to REFLECT the mood of the indigenous community.
-(d): APC & PDP leaders focused on all The 6 AREA COUNCILS.
-(e) @ADCNig got it wrong by selecting two candidates that excluded the indigenous people.
(f): ADC sent a strong message to other 5 Chairmanship candidates that they don’t care about them. They are not IMPORTANT simple.
-(g): Politics is LOCAL. Politics is about Winning and not about emotions or sentiments.
5: you can’t have a North Central & South East persons as candidates without the locals. What is in it for them? Symbolism is part of Election Strategy to win election.
6: The leaders of @ADCNig set up @PeterObi by allowing him to field the slot of Chairmanship and the Vice knowing fully it is an offensive SELECTION
-(a): @atiku and David Mark dem get experienced ooooo that the combo is DEAD ON ARRIVAL. But, they played along.
-(b): Those who voted for 9 votes man were mainly supporters of @PeterObi and it is obvious there is a BIG GAP in the coalition.
-(c): those 9 votes man are EMOTIONAL people, they can’t learn. Just Cho Cho and fantasying always.
7: Back to Nos (4): Gwari people will always support APC largely bcos of Implementation of Their long agitations.
8: FCT election is not about economic issues but about PRESERVATION OF HERITAGE. Again “SYMBOLISM” is key.
9: For APC, consolidate with the people by providing more infrastructural projects as @GovWike is implementing.
-(a): Appoint more Abuja indigenous people to boards of parastatals etc. @nentawe1 @APCNewMedia @PresidentIkemba
10: Prepare for 2030 guys. Crying, screaming, threatening and insults dem no dey win election

My take on #FCTDECIDES
It has been excuses over structure.
First, ADC and the Obidients were loud about how they “campaigned massively” in Abuja. Social media was flooded, confidence was sky-high, and they sold the impression that the ground was secured.
Then election day arrived and the narrative flipped instantly. Suddenly it was low turnout. “Either APC intimidated voters or Nigerians have lost confidence in Nigeria.” You can’t tell us you campaigned very well and in the same breath blame turnout when the results don’t favor you. That’s not analysis; that’s coping.
It got even more embarrassing when the ADC candidate could not even pull more than 7 voters in his own polling unit. If your immediate constituency didn’t show up for you, how exactly were you expecting a landslide?
Worse still, they failed at the most basic level of electoral participation: deploying party agents to all polling units. In Nigerian elections, that is non-negotiable. Party agents protect votes, document results, and challenge irregularities in real time. You don’t skip that step and later start shouting “rigging.”
And let’s not forget this part: when they first saw APC’s situation room the coordination, the data flow, the seriousness they started shouting and mocking it.
“Why so much seriousness over local government chairman election?”
That comment alone exposed the problem.
APC understands politics from the grassroots. Local government elections are not jokes; they are rehearsals for bigger battles. That’s where structure is built, loyalty is tested, and machinery is refined. Serious parties take every election seriously.
So let’s be honest: if you truly believed APC would rig, that is exactly why you should have stationed agents at polling units. That’s where rigging is checked not on Twitter, not in press statements, not after defeat.
You don’t lose elections because of intimidation you can’t prove.
You lose elections because you lacked structure, agents, coordination, and voter discipline.
APC didn’t win by noise. APC won by organization.
APC’ Maikalangu wins AMAC with landslide 40,295 votes
Excuses won’t replace preparation.
Outrage won’t replace structure.

About AMAC Election. There are things people don't know. Abuja people don't come out on Local Elections. In my Polling unit, we have 3k registered voters, only 63 came out to vote.. And ADC won. That was my first time Voting in AMAC elections because of Dr. Mo.
